This project seeks to repair and replace deteriorating roofs at the San Vicente de Paul Nursing Home in Tacuarembó, Uruguay, which serves 36 elderly residents. The Daughters of Charity are requesting funds to construct new metal tubular structures with econopanel roofing, repair water leaks in corridors, and fix drainage issues around existing pipes. The nursing home operates without government aid, relying solely on residents’ small pensions, making these essential repairs critical for ensuring the safety and dignity of the elderly residents who would otherwise face dangerous conditions from structural deterioration and water infiltration.
