The Bimala Girls’ Hostel in Allada, India has a severely damaged roof that leaks during rainfall, causing concrete to fall off and creating unsafe, unhygienic living conditions for approximately 300 girls who reside there. This renovation project will repair the deteriorating roof along with installing proper waterproofing treatment, to provide a safe, secure environment for these disadvantaged students. The improvements will address immediate safety concerns while extending the building’s lifespan by 15-16 years, benefiting girls aged 5-15 from economically disadvantaged families who depend on the hostel for access to education.
