This project addresses the critical housing needs of vulnerable young adults aged 18-25 who have aged out of children’s shelters operated by the Amanecer Religious Foundation in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and have nowhere else to live. The primary goal is to renovate and maintain Casa Jerusalem, a residential facility that provides safe housing for these young people while they pursue university, technical, or secondary education and develop the skills needed for independent living. The project will directly benefit 15 young people in vulnerable situations who would otherwise face homelessness or be forced to return to the streets. By providing stable housing and support services, the initiative aims to break the cycle of poverty and abandonment, enabling these young adults to achieve social, educational, and economic independence rather than relapsing into street life.
