The DREAM program (Disease Relief through Excellent and Advanced Means), established in Nairobi by the Daughters of Charity in 2008, addresses the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations. This project focuses on providing nutrition support to “at-risk” households and implementing nutrition programs targeting the most vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and the sick. On-site programs deliver daily support; for instance, in school settings, meals such as breakfast and lunch are prepared for children. For family support, food baskets containing assorted essentials are distributed to beneficiaries either weekly or fortnightly, depending on the program structure.
