Krakow – Program for Care of Homeless

Project Description

Krakow, Poland has numerous families and individuals living in extreme poverty and there are many homeless individuals. The Daughters of Charity have a Provincial House – established more than 150 years ago – which helps the poor and needy in Krakow. The goal of this project is to be able to provide funds for the Sisters to purchase basic food items, clothing, medications, dressing materials for wounds, and hygiene products. With these items, the Sisters will be able to provide basic necessities for homeless individuals and others living in poverty. In addition, these funds will allow the Sisters to purchase bus tickets for individuals starting a new job, allowing them to get to work until they receive their first paycheck and can pay for the tickets themselves.
