The Dream program up to now has 600 patients, all of whom are getting antiretroviral treatment. The DREAM program has achieved a critical goal of ending HIV vertical transmission leading to an increase in number of children born negative by HIV positive mothers. The health center section attached to the DREAM center serves approximately 400 patients every month. The project offers UNIQUE services in that it boosts the wellbeing of people living with HIV/AIDS. The HIV virus lowers a person’s immunity, so the opportunistic infections take advantage of the situation and set in. It is therefore important to screen all our patients for opportunistic infections for prompt treatment.
So with the availability of medicine against opportunistic infections, the clients live healthy and normal lives. This project will enable the DREAM Center to continue to supply these vital medicines to those in need.
