Daughters of Charity have been serving in Saba, Honduras since 1976. In most villages in this region, only primary education is available, making it difficult for students – especially girls – to continue their studies. Long distances, travel costs, and safety concerns lead many parents to keep their daughters at home and many girls end up entering relationships at a young age, sometimes becoming single mothers. The goal of this project is to offer practical workshops to young women and/or single mothers, empowering them with a skill set they can use to earn income.
