In Port-au-Prince, Haiti, more than 80% of health centers are closed and the ones that remain are extremely costly. Further, the cost of living has increased by more than 200% in recent months, leaving most of the population in urgent need of food. Malnutrition in children and the elderly is increasing as is the prevalence of tuberculosis. The goal of this project is to purchase food for children in the nutritional recovery program, individuals receiving care at mobile clinics, needy families displaced by violence, tuberculosis patients, and the elderly, as
well as medicine for needy patients.
