The goal of this project is to serve children, people with disabilities, and poor families in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as well as children, the poor, the sick, and the lonely in Angren, where many families live in extreme poverty without reliable electricity, heating, food, or basic household items. The Sisters respond by operating a day care center that provides children with a hot meal and a safe, warm place to stay while their parents work, helping prevent children from being left unprotected on the streets. Through this project, the Sisters will provide food, school supplies, clothing, hygiene items, medicines, transportation to the center, and rehabilitation treatments and medications for children and adults with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy and blindness.
