Villagers in Storyzyniec, Ukraine have been buffeted by decades of political oppression, nuclear disaster, war, and extreme poverty. Daughters of Charity Sisters offer care and sustenance to every demographic in the village – elderly, children, families, persons with disabilities, persons with chronic illness, and those abandoned due to the impacts of war and poverty. Sisters provide medicine, food, clothing, housewares and spiritual formation to more than 100 villagers each year.
