DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY
OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
INTERNATIONAL PROJECT SERVICES
Three hundred-twenty students at St. Catherine Laboure School receive quality education and nutritional support to promote good health and optimize their learning. Three daily meals are provided to help students grow properly and enable them to focus attention on their studies. Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner prevents students leaving school grounds in search for food. Some students reside at St. Catherine’s boarding facilities 7 days a week, so it is essential for them to receive balanced, healthy meals at the school. Most children enrolled at St. Catherine’s come from poor backgrounds and their families are unable to offer financial support to cover food costs. For this reason, the Sisters are seeking funds to cover the purchase of nutritious food items including corn, beans, rice, meat, and sweet potatoes to be used for the school meals program throughout the year.
