In Ruzo, educational opportunities are very limited, and the literacy rate is alarmingly low. Many young people drop out of school in search of employment in neighboring countries or to get married at a young age. In response, the Daughters of Charity maintain Ruzo Artisanal Center, where youth are offered Christian, social, and intellectual education. This project will 90 young people to change their mentality and to take responsibility for their futures by offering them instruction in reading, writing, and tailoring. Project funds will be used to cover program expenses including sewing materials, office supplies, salaries, and medical care.
