Upendo Street Children

Project Description

The Upendo Street Program was established in 2020 in Kitale, Kenya to champion the rights of homeless street children through rehabilitation, family integration and by providing necessary education. This program provides a supportive community for at risk youth who have no other options due to widespread poverty and lack of available resources. The focus is on advocating for children rights from the grassroots level through community education and by providing basic education and empowerment to the children. This process helps the families/guardians or foster families to become part of the change as well as supporting these children towards a sustainable livelihood.
