The goal of the Association for Termination of Female Genital Mutilation (ATFGM) project is to build and maintain a functional and supportive network in Tanzania to address the issues related to the reduction of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. In addition, this project aims to address gender-based violence and support a shift in social and gender norms toward equality and safety. This project provides outreach to 4,500 school age girls who are at risk of cruel, retrogressive traditional practices and gender-based violence.
