SUPPORTING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AT BLESSED MARTA WEICKA CENTER

Project Description

Children and adolescents with complex and multiple disabilities are offered care, rehabilitation, and therapy at the Blessed Marta Weicka Center in Sniatyn. Youngsters living with conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, and muscular dystrophy are among those served through this center. There are currently 20 children and youth who are under permanent care. Specialists are employed at the center including two physiotherapists, a masseuse, nurse, psychologist, post-rehabilitation caregiver, and a driver. This team offers vital services for these youngsters with disabilities that are adjusted to their individual developmental needs and psychophysical abilities. Project support will be used to cover salary expenses, as well as other expenses at the center including transportation costs, medications, diapers, operational expenses, educational materials, and hygiene items.
