DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY
OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
INTERNATIONAL PROJECT SERVICES
Those is Slavgorod endure difficult living conditions. There is an overall lack of job opportunities, and those who are employed earn very low wages. The Sisters run two day care centers to serve the community, provide religious education, organize camps and retreats for children, offer home visits to provide medical and spiritual support, and provide nutritional support for children. Food aid, clothing, and personal hygiene items are given to about 50 families in challenging situations and 40 homeless individuals. This ministry is particularly valuable since it protects beneficiaries against diseases and malnutrition. Moreover, it encourages children and adolescents to avoid dangerous behaviors like drug and alcohol use and participating in criminal activity. Project support will allow this program to continue by financing items like food, medicines, and school supplies.
