DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY
OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
INTERNATIONAL PROJECT SERVICES
Twenty-nine elderly persons, ages 66 to 98, live at San Jose Home for the Elderly where they receive care and shelter. However, since 60% of these residents are bed-bound or semi bed-bound, inadequate equipment exacerbates injuries and diseases as well physical + mental deterioration. The Sisters attempt to provide a safe, relaxing and comforting environment for those living at the home, but new clinical beds are needed in order to provide appropriate services and improved living conditions. 25 beds and mattresses will be purchased through this project.
