DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY
OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
INTERNATIONAL PROJECT SERVICES
This Daughters of Charity Artisanal Center was established to accommodate local youth lacking academic opportunities. The program provides human, intellectual, and Christian formation in addition to literacy and sewing courses. By learning a trained skill, those in attendance are better prepared for a successful future as they take responsibility over their own lives and develop creativity. No other center of this type exists in the region. Unfortunately, since the youth generally come from poor families, the center is unable to sustain itself financially. Though parents & students attempt to pay required registration fees, some are simply unable to cover this expense. This project will offer assistance to 68 young men and women. Sewing materials, cleaning products, office supplies, and salaries (7 staff members) are among budget items.
