INTERNATIONAL PROJECT SERVICES
This Daughters of Charity project for the Artisanal Center in Ruzo, Burundi provided trade materials for classes in sewing, education for literacy, math, as well as religion with celebration of the Eucharist. Materials were given out over the three trimesters of the 2016 – 2017 school year. The benefits of the project as are follows: a sewing service was provided to the surrounding community and students could practice what they learned. The students learned how to arrange their vegetable gardens, prepare a complete meal, change bad behaviors such roaming and the ingesting of drugs. The youth culture benefited greatly from staying busy with new skills and keeping safe while the instructors did well with their salaries as they work to continue to benefit themselves.
