DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY
OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
INTERNATIONAL PROJECT SERVICES
Since 1981, the Daughters of Charity, Cochabamba, Bolivia’s Amanecer Foundation has served abandoned and mistreated boys, girls, women, and babies, addressing the needs of the poor living on the streets of Cochabamba. Twelve facilities offer care appropriate to gender and age of the threatened individuals who enter the residential facilities. Outreach and prevention as well as developmental and motivational therapies provide paths to healthy behavior and growth. The 21 vehicles used for transportation of all goods and services were in extreme disrepair, so project funding was used to repair and replace parts on all of the vehicles. These rehabbed vehicles are helping over 200 children live healthy, supervised lives in Amanecer homes, providing access to daily supplies, the opportunity to attend school, and extra-curricular activities.
